FAQs

Do I have to register online?

Yes, online reservations are required for classes. Our small class size, ranging from 4 – 10 people depending on the discipline, allows us to maintain a safe environment while ensuring our students get plenty of instruction time, practice time on the equipment and individual attention.

Can I register a friend or family member?

Each adult over the age of 18 must create his or her own account and must register for his or her own classes. Parents are encouraged to create an account for themselves and add children under the age of 18 as family members. This will allow you to both book and pay for classes for your child.

What if I need to cancel?

No problem. We require eight hours notice for class cancellations. Simply log into your account just as you scheduled your class and you will have the option to cancel. If you cancel in this time period, you will keep your paid class credit to be used for a future class. Late cancels will be charged the full class fee to your credit card on file or deducted from your current class card. All Access members will be charged a $5 late cancellation fee (for classes & events covered by your membership type).

How much does it cost?

Each class has options to be purchased individually, in class packages at a discounted rate, or part of an unlimited month to month package. Detailed pricing can be found on our individual parkour, pole, and silks pages, as well as on our general pricing page.

What should I wear to Parkour? Do I need to bring anything to class?

All parkour students should wear appropriate fitness attire (including sneakers) and bring a water bottle to every class.

Do I need to attend with my child? (Or, can my older teenager attend alone?)

All participants under the age of 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian in order to participate in class, which can be done through our online scheduling system. If all paperwork is in place, students may attend with friends or be dropped off, provided they are not left unattended in the lobby for more than five minutes before or after class and we have contact numbers on file for parents/guardians.

Can I watch my child during his/her Parkour class?

Due to space and safety concerns we cannot allow parents to stay in the parkour studio during classes to watch. There are cameras installed throughout the studio that allow you to view your child’s class in our waiting area. If you want to grab a video or some pictures of your child during class, just ask the front desk staff and we’d be glad to escort you in during an appropriate time.

I think Parkour Level 1 will be easy, can I just skip to Parkour Level 2?

While you or your child may be coming from a background that you feel benefits their parkour practice, we still like all students to begin at Level 1. There are often skills, terminology, and studio procedures we like you to be familiar with before moving onto higher levels. If you are coming from another studio and would like to be considered for a higher level, please contact us at infō @ fredericksburgninja.com to learn more about scheduling a test up.

What should I wear to Aerial Silks?

Proper attire will make your silks journey much easier. You’ll want tight fitting clothing to avoid getting tangled up in the silks. Leggings and stretchy yoga pants work great. Also be sure your top covers your midriff without riding up or can be tucked in. Please leave all jewlery at home and tie up long hair.

Do I have to commit to a multiple classes?

No, you’re always welcome to sign up for a single Silks Level 1 class to try it out and make sure it’s a good fit. If you decide you love it and want to continue, you can purchase a six class package at a discount. (All six classes must be used in a three month period)

Don’t forget your camera!

You’ll want plenty of pictures of your Silks journey and we’ll be glad to snap them for you!

What should I wear to Pole?

Comfortable fitness clothing, including shorts that are above the knee in length, will be perfect for this class. Please note that wearing pants may limit your participation in some class activities (like pole sits and climbs).

To keep our poles free from scratches, jeans, tennis shoes, and clothing with decorations that could scratch the pole are not permitted. Jewelry such as rings, belly button rings (can be covered), toe rings, bracelets, watches, FitBits, etc. should be left at home as these must be removed before participating.

All level 1 pole classes are performed in bare feet. Heels are permitted beginning in level 2 when appropriate and in flow classes. Heels must be pole heels with a strap. Shoes with zippers, buckles, or decorations that can damage the poles will not be allowed.

Please do not apply any lotions or oils the day of your class. As you sweat, the lotion will make you slide on the pole and leave it slippery for those after you.

How do I reserve a pole?

Pole reservations are required. You may reserve a pole (or register for any other class) on the schedule.

All classes are booked one person to a pole, so you will have the full hour to practice and not experience ‘down time’ while waiting for others. A current credit/debit card number must be held on file for you to be allowed to reserve a pole. Once all poles are reserved for a class, your name will be put on a waiting list.

If you must cancel your reservation, we ask that you give as much notice as possible so students on the waitlist can be notified. Any cancellation made less than 8 hours before the class start time will result in a $20 charge to your credit/debit card on file.

Waitlist –
If the class you request is full you will be offered a waitlist. This list will be activated if a cancellation opens a pole and you will receive an email. You are required to confirm your spot in class through the email you receive. If a pole does not open your credit will be applied back to your account to be used for a future class.

How do I pay my party deposit?

Once your date and time have been confirmed, a deposit is required to hold your event. This deposit is paid online and is non-refundable. The full deposit will be applied to the final balance due the day of your party.

Can parents participate in parties? What about younger children?

This is your private event. If adults will be participating, please be sure to include them in your number of participants when reserving the party.

Our studio is designed for kids ages 7 and up. While younger participants are permitted in private events, please be aware that there may be limits on which activities they can perform due to size and safety requirements. The instructor will do his best to include them in all portions the child can safely participate.

Can parents watch and take pictures during parties?

For private events, parents are welcome to hang out in our waiting area (where the full party can be viewed on screen) or in the parkour studio. The instructor will be glad to show you safe areas to get plenty of photos.

Remember your party waivers!

After your party is booked, we will send you copies of our waiver to include with your party invitations. Please note that each waiver must be completed by the child’s parent or legal guardian. Unfortunately the party host cannot fill out waivers for children other than their own. To make your check-in process as smooth as possible, we encourage parents to fill out the waivers in advance and bring them with to the party. It helps get kids into the action quicker and saves parents from having to worry about filling out paperwork upon arrival.
